I’m pleased to announce that the 15th annual Adobe Analytics Challenge will be kicking-off on September 22, 2016!
Years ago, the Adobe Analytics Challenge was born as a recruiting tool to help the team uncover bright minds and talent passionate about analytics. It has grown into one of the top business competitions in the country for college students. This year we expect more than 1000 students from 35 top-tier university programs to compete for more $50,000 in cash and prizes, with $30,000 going to the 1st place team.
If you are unfamiliar with the Adobe Analytics Challenge, it’s an exceptionally unique business competition where university students are given the opportunity to use Adobe’s industry-leading analytics products and access real-world data from leading, data-driven organizations. This year, we’re thrilled that Sony Playstation has partnered with Adobe for this year’s competition. As one of the most recognizable brands in entertainment and gaming, Sony Playstation will provide this year’s contestants with a unique customer analytics challenge to discover cross-channel insights across the Playstation App and Playstation.com that will help Sony provide even more amazing experiences to its customers.
Are you excited and ready to jump in yet? Here is the schedule of events for this year’s competition:
- Thursday, September 22, 2016: 1-hour kick-off presentation. This will be presented via web conference where you will hear more details about the competition and be able to ask questions to the Adobe and Sony Playstation teams.

- Monday, October 17, 2016: Team presentation deadline. Your PowerPoint decks will be due by 12:00pm MT. Of the submissions, 20 teams will be chosen to move onto a semi-final round.
- Thursday, November 10, 2016: Finals. Adobe will be flying out finalists to present their final presentations in front of a live audience at the Adobe Campus in Lehi, Utah. Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded.
Head on over to the Adobe Analytics Challenge website to learn more about the competition and how you can register your team.
For students considering entering this competition, not only will you gain some serious experience that you can use in your career, you will also be exposed to Adobe and Sony Playstation leadership and recruiters. Adobe has hired more than 30 students from this competition. In fact, that is how I was introduced to Adobe Analytics. I competed in the 2010 competition with two talented colleagues from my MBA program and we won the competition. I subsequently accepted an offer from Adobe and am now the Senior Manager of Product Marketing for Adobe Analytics. Was it worth the time and effort? Emphatically, YES!
